A huge CONGRATULATIONS to Jean Davis from Saints Netball Club who has won the Netball South West Goalden Globe Coach of the Year 2010 Award. The Coach Award is presented to a coach who has made an outstanding contribution to their club/organisation and progression of netball athletes
“I am so delighted with my award. There were 7 nominations in this category and all of them worthy winners so I am just amazingly thrilled” says Jean.
Penny Taylor from Saints Netball Club commented:
“Jean has been for 39 years, and still is, a “bedrock” coach in the county. She has consistently raised the standard at club and county level. She coaches all age groups and is out every night of the week, either coaching or developing coaches. She is the driving force behind everything that happens towards the progress of netball in Cornwall.”
Jean continues in her role as Regional Development Coach and coaches the Talent & Performance Academy, Truro College Academy, Back 2 Netball sessions, and both Junior and Senior squads for Saints Netball Club.
Congratulations also goes to Amanda Davey from St Agnes Netball Club who was nominated for Grassroots coach of the Year and to Denise May who was awarded a Netball South West MBE badge in celebration of her receiving her MBE award this year.
