FASTNET NETBALL LEAGUE

CLICK HERE to download all information required for this years FastNet summer league held at Penair School on Weds 18th June, Tues 15th July and Thurs 14th August. Warm up and court set up: 6:15pm.

Attached are the orders of play for the 3 summer league dates (including umpiring), your umpiring responsibilities can be swapped with other teams, but you cannot umpire your own games.  It is the responsibility for the first teams on to get the posts and bases out, and for the last teams to put them away. Please familiarise yourself with the rules.

Please can all teams fulfil their fixtures, even if you come with less players - sharing players is very much encouraged! Deposits will not be returned if fixtures are not fulfilled.

Normal netball rules apply except for the following...
  • You will play 4 short quarters (5 min quarters, 2 min change over.).
  • After each 1/4 every player must change position or move off to the bench (they can move back to their original position following the next 1/4).
  • The team winning the toss chooses the goal end for the start of play and takes 1st C pass in the 1st & 3rd quarter. The other team takes 1st C pass in 2nd & 4th 1/4. After a goal is scored, the game restarts from a C pass taken by the team who conceded the last goal.
  • Each team can select one 1/4 as a power play during which any goals scored will be doubled!
  • The GA & GS can score from outside the D, if they are successful they’ll score 2 points. If they are in their power play they will score 4 points for any successful shot score outside the D.
