Make the Game Live Extra
After the success of the 2013 Make the Game Live Conference England Netball will be delivering another joint coaching and officiating conference for 2014 that will be bigger and better.
This event is an opportunity for coaches and umpires to get together and hear from experts in the field. Sessions will cover an array of topics so there is sure to be something for everyone This is an ideal opportunity to get some extra ideas, learn from others and share knowledge as well as see some of our admired coaches and umpires deliver. Carly Taylor Netball Festival 2014
The Carly Taylor Netball Festival 2014 took place at Newquay Tretherras School on Saturday June 28th. It was part of the huge Surf 7s festival and proved to be a very lively event with netball and rugby players enjoying the summer sun.
The Netball Festival included two events, a senior tournament followed by a highly competitive mixed netball tournament. |
The competition was run by Cornwall Netball and Saints Netball Club to raise funds for Carly Taylor a talented netball player from Crantock,who was tragically paralysed in a fall three years ago.
This is the third netball festival and is one of many events which goes on throughout the country to raise funds for Carly's continuing care. CLICK HERE to view the full report

FastNet Summer League 2014 - Format
The FastNet Summer League commences on Weds 18th June at Penair School.
Normal netball rules apply except for the following:

- You will play 4 short quarters (5 min quarters, 2 min change over.).
- After each 1/4 every player must change position or move off to the bench (they can move back to their original position following the next 1/4).
- The team winning the toss chooses the goal end for the start of play and takes 1st C pass
- in the 1st & 3rd quarter. The other team takes 1st C pass in 2nd & 4th 1/4. After a goal is scored, the game restarts from a C pass taken by the team who conceded the last goal.
- Each team can select one 1/4 as a power play during which any goals scored will be doubled!
- The GA & GS can score from outside the D, if they are successful they’ll score 2 points. If they are in their power play they will score 4 points for any successful shot score outside the D.
